Digital information linked to your product, pushing circularity, adding opportunities.
Bridging sustainability and technology, MASJIEN is here to help you navigate the world of DPP.
Every product gets its own digital ID — a data container that tells its story and fuels new services.
The European Commission’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) will soon make a Digital Product Passport (DPP) mandatory for textiles and many other product groups. Its goal: to boost transparency, traceability and circularity across the entire value chain.
A Digital Product Passport brings together all essential information about a garment — from raw materials and production processes to care instructions and recycling options. It allows consumers to make informed choices, while helping fashion companies manage, reuse and recycle their collections more efficiently.
At Masjien, we take this a step further. We call it DPP+: turning the passport into a living touchpoint throughout a product’s lifecycle. From first to second to later users, a garment can carry stories, services and new connections, creating an ongoing bond between the product, its issuer and its community.

Fashion DNA
Developed with Twintag and Labels & Things, Fashion DNA is a practical one-stop circular support system made possible through Design4Circularity funding from Vlaanderen Circulair.
Together with pioneering Belgian brands SCAPA, e5, and Claes Retail Group, Masjien explored how Digital Product Passports (DPPs) can drive both compliance and creativity, unlocking new opportunities in transparency, storytelling, and circular business models.
Building on this hands-on experience, Masjien now helps fashion companies take the next step through its Personalized DPP Readiness Journey, guiding brands to shape their own DPP strategy with confidence and clarity.
TURBO DPP+
At Masjien, we love to walk the talk. That’s why we’ve created our own Fashion DNA demo showcasing the endless possibilities of digital product IDs, or as we like to call them: DPP+.
TURBO is Masjien’s sandbox project in the making, featuring curated preloved items: tech infused vintage.

Applied Research with Impact
DPP InZicht is a two-year applied research Tetra project by Howest, Thomas More, and MASJIEN, supported by VLAIO. The research follows, investigates, tests, and shares all key steps around sustainability, innovation, and Digital Product Passports, providing practical insights for the fashion sector.
Ann, Applied Researcher at Howest Cyber3 Lab, contributes to the research and helps translate findings into meaningful conversations with companies across the entire value chain. The research also explores new business models, ways to engage end consumers, and technical topics like data standardization, blockchain integration, and verifiable credentials —demonstrating how DPPs can drive circularity, transparency, and innovation.
